HR Administrative Assistant

Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Part-Time HR Administrative Assistant to support our Human Resources and administrative functions. This position will assist with a variety of HR-related and office administrative tasks, including recordkeeping, onboarding support, insurance claim processing, certification tracking, data entry, and inventory management. The ideal candidate will be dependable, efficient, and comfortable handling confidential information while supporting multiple ongoing processes. This is a part-time position, with the potential for growth in hours, responsibilities, and compensation over time based on business needs and candidate performance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform general administrative duties such as filing, scanning, organizing documents, and maintaining records
Assist with vehicle and property insurance claim processing
Support OCIP insurance reporting and related documentation
Assist with prequalification paperwork and tracking
Provide support with new hire onboarding and related administrative tasks
Track employee and company certifications, expirations, and required updates
Enter and maintain accurate data in company systems and spreadsheets
Monitor and track office inventory and computer/equipment inventory
Assist with other HR and administrative duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
Previous administrative experience required; HR administrative experience preferred
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Comfortable handling confidential and sensitive information
Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Experience with insurance documentation, reporting, or onboarding support is a plus
Preferred Skills:
Experience in a landscape or construction office environment with multiple administrative processes
Familiarity with certification tracking, prequalification documentation, or insurance claims
Strong data entry accuracy and document management skills

SALARY: $20 to $24 per hour depending on experience and training requirements
